1. About Alankaara

This website is owned and operated by Alankaara Designs Private Limited, an Indian company engaged in the design and sale of handcrafted jewellery, keepsakes and related products.

2. Our Products

Alankaara products are handcrafted using resin, real flowers, botanicals, metals, wood and other natural or handmade materials. Because our products are handmade and often contain natural materials, no two pieces will be perfectly identical.

You may notice variations in:

• Flower size, shape and colour
• Botanical placement
• Resin clarity and texture
• Metal finish
• Wood grain
• Minor bubbles or natural markings
• Colour and appearance between product photographs and the finished piece

These variations are inherent to handmade and natural products and are not considered manufacturing defects.

3. Natural Botanicals

Many Alankaara products contain real flowers and botanicals. Natural flowers can change colour, texture or appearance over time. Exposure to sunlight, heat, humidity, moisture and chemicals may accelerate these changes.

Such changes are a natural characteristic of botanical materials and are not necessarily an indication that the product is defective. We cannot guarantee that a preserved botanical will retain its original colour indefinitely.

4. Product Images

We make every effort to photograph and describe our products accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting conditions and device. For products containing natural botanicals, the exact flower, arrangement or colour may vary from the product photograph. Where a product is handmade to order, the final piece may have minor differences from the reference image while retaining the intended design and character.

5. Customised Products

Certain Alankaara products can be customised according to customer requirements (flower selection, botanical arrangement, colours, names/initials, personal photos, personal objects, metal finishes, dimensions).

Once a customised order has entered production, changes may not be possible. Customised and personalised products cannot ordinarily be cancelled, returned or exchanged because they are created specifically for the customer, except where required by applicable law or where the product is defective, damaged or materially different from what was agreed.

6. Preservation Orders

For preservation orders, customers may send us flowers, wedding garlands, photographs, fabric, jewellery or other personal objects. We will assess the material before beginning the work and may advise you if it is unsuitable for preservation.

Natural materials can behave unpredictably during drying, pressing, resin casting and preservation. We therefore cannot guarantee the exact appearance of the original material in the finished product. Once a preservation process has begun, the original material may not be recoverable in its original condition. By sending an item to us for preservation, you confirm that you have the right to provide that item to us and authorise us to use it for creating your commissioned piece.

7. Customer Supplied Materials

Customers are responsible for packaging and sending their materials to us safely unless otherwise agreed. We are not responsible for damage, deterioration or loss of customer supplied materials occurring during transit to us where the shipment has been arranged by the customer. We recommend using appropriate protective packaging and a trackable shipping service.

8. Orders

An order is considered confirmed only after successful payment has been received and the order has been accepted by Alankaara. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including suspected fraudulent transactions, pricing errors, inventory errors or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the applicable amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.

9. Pricing

All product prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges and other compulsory charges will be displayed as required before completion of the purchase. Prices may change without prior notice. Such changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for, except where required to correct an obvious pricing error.

10. Payment

Payments may be processed through third party payment providers. By placing an order, you confirm that the payment information provided by you is accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method. Your payment provider may have separate terms and privacy policies that apply to your transaction.

11. Processing and Delivery

Processing times vary depending on the product. Ready to ship products and customised or preservation orders may have different production timelines. Estimated delivery timelines are provided for guidance and may vary due to courier delays, weather, strikes, public holidays, remote locations, incorrect address information or other circumstances outside our control. Once an order has been handed over to the shipping partner, delivery is subject to the courier company's operations.

12. Incorrect Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including the correct name, phone number, PIN code and other relevant information. Alankaara is not responsible for orders that are delayed, returned, lost or undeliverable because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided. Additional shipping charges may apply if an order needs to be resent because of an incorrect address.

13. Returns and Exchanges

Our return and exchange policy depends on the type of product purchased. Ready to ship products may be eligible for exchange subject to the applicable return and exchange policy displayed on our website. Customised, personalised and preservation products are generally not eligible for return or exchange unless they are defective, damaged or materially different from what was agreed. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights available to consumers under applicable law.

14. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery. For certain claims, we may request photographs, videos of the package and a short unboxing video to help us establish the condition of the package and product at the time of delivery. If the product is found to be defective, damaged in transit or incorrectly supplied, we will provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law and our policies.

15. Product Care

Customers are responsible for following the care instructions provided with their products. Resin jewellery should generally be protected from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, water, perfumes, chemicals and abrasive surfaces. Normal wear and tear, scratches, tarnishing, fading or natural changes in preserved botanicals resulting from use or environmental exposure are not necessarily manufacturing defects.

16. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including photographs, product designs, illustrations, graphics, logos, written content, names, descriptions and other creative material, belongs to or is licensed to Alankaara unless otherwise stated. Our designs, photographs and creative work may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially used without our prior written permission.

17. Customer Photographs and Content

If you voluntarily provide photographs, reviews, testimonials or other content to Alankaara, you retain ownership of your content unless otherwise agreed. Where you give us permission to use such content for marketing, you grant Alankaara permission to reproduce and display it for that purpose. We will not knowingly use personal photographs or private preservation materials for public marketing without appropriate permission.

18. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code or use the website for unlawful purposes. We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where necessary to protect our business, customers or systems.

19. Third Party Links

Our website may contain links to third party websites and services. These links are provided for convenience. Alankaara is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third party websites.

20. Force Majeure

Alankaara will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, government restrictions, strikes, transportation disruptions, internet or technology failures, epidemics, war or other unforeseen events).

21. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Alankaara will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or products.

22. Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect personal information. Please read our Privacy Policy before placing an order.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices or applicable laws. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

24. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts having appropriate jurisdiction over Alankaara Designs Private Limited, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
